Aims and scope
EASP aims to promote excellence in European research in the field of social psychology.
To this end it sets up a large variety of activities and it creates publication outlets for significant research contributions. As such it contributes to the scientific communication among European social psychologists as well as between Europe and Social Psychology in the world at large.
History
Social psychology as it now exists in Europe developed mainly in the decades after the Second World War. The EASP has played an important role in this process, since it has been both determinant and product of this development. To understand this dual role better, the background against which and the context within which the "Association" came into being, is sketched.
Articles and standing orders
In the articles and standing orders the EASP wrote down its statutes, rules of membership, etc. Learn also about the historical context in which the articles and standing orders were born.
Executive Committee
EASP is managed by an Executive Committee. Its members are elected for a six year term. Sibylle Classen is the Executive Officer of EASP.
