The Department of Psychology is one of the biggest departments at the Faculty of Social Sciences with about 150 employees and 2,000 students. Research areas represented at the department include cognitive-, developmental-, personality-, social-, clinical-, work- and organisational-, and biologial psychology as well as perception and psychophysics.The teaching focuses on all levels from graduate to postgraduate studies.

Main responsibilities
The position entails self-initiated research as well as in collaboration with other staff members at the Depatrment of Psychology, Stockholm University. Teaching and administrative duties up to 20% may also be included.

Qualification requirements
Postdoctoral positions are appointed primarily for purposes of research. Applicants are expected to hold a Swedish doctoral degree in psychology or an equivalent degree from another country. Ongoing or planned collaboration with a senior staff member at the Department of psychology is required.

Assessment criteria
The degree should have been completed no more than three years before the deadline for applications. An older degree may be acceptable under special circumstances, which may involve sick leave, parental leave, clinical attachment, elected positions in trade unions, or similar.In the appointment process, particular weight will be given to research proficiency. Weight will also be given to cooperation skills.Excellent applicants in the final stages of their doctoral degree will be considered but the degree must be awarded at the time of appointment.Proficiency in the Swedish language is not required. We do however require that the applicant possesses excellent English language skills.

Terms of employment
The position involves full-time employment for a maximum of two years. Start date as per agreement.
