The Department of Psychology and Cognitive Science at the University of Trento (Italy) is currently seeking to appoint a senior researcher at the Assistant Professor level in Social Psychology. This Assistant Professorship is for a three-year period with the possibility to become a permanent position as an Associate Professor. The annual gross salary is about €45.000. Moreover, the successful candidate will receive a start-up research fund of €12.000 at the end of the selection procedure.

We welcome applicants in all areas of Social Psychology, but a special interest in orienting one's research on any of the following research themes will be seen as an asset: international migration, intergroup dynamics and identity processes among immigrants.

Knowledge of the Italian language is not a requirement, but the researcher will be asked to teach in Italian within 3 years from the date of employment. All teaching activities will lie in Social Psychology or related fields and will regard courses in the graduate and under-graduate program of the Department of Sociology and Social Research and the Department of Psychology and Cognitive Science.

The Department of Psychology and Cognitive Science at the University of Trento has received the title of Department of Excellence in 2018 by the Italian government and has the best under-graduated program in Psychology in Italy (Censis, 2019). The Department is situated in Rovereto, a small town in the North of Italy, close to the Garda lake and the Dolomites.
