SUSCON builds on recent debates about individual vs. systemic drivers of unsustainable consumption. A major focus of the ERC-funded project is to investigate the potential of recognizing systemic drivers of unsustainable consumption to foster cooperation and policy support. Using experience-sampling, as well as methods from experimental social psychology, behavioral economics, political psychology, and AI-based discourse analysis, SUSCON seeks to examine these processes in both citizens and policymakers.
