The project builds on recent debates about individual vs. systemic drivers of unsustainable consumption. A major focus of this ERC-funded project is to investigate the potential of recognizing systemic drivers of unsustainable consumption to foster cooperation and policy support. Using methods from experimental psychology, behavioral economics, political psychology, and AI-based discourse analysis, the project seeks to examine these processes in both citizens and policymakers.
