Post-doc Position: Online and offline gender-based harassment

A call for a 12 month (renewable for another 12 months), full time Postdoctoral Research position is open (Deadline: June 13th, 2022) at the University of Trento. The successful candidate will join the project StandByMe 2.0 - STop gender-bAsed violeNce by aDdressing masculinities and changing Behaviour of Young people through huMan rights Education (which is funded by the EU) and work under the supervision of Maria Paola Paladino and Jeroen Vaes (Department of Psychology and Cognitive Science, University of Trento).

This project aims at countering online and offline violence in all its occurrences (e.g. harassment, discrimination, hate speech, etc.) against women and girls with a focus on the role of gender stereotypes and masculinity conceptions via youth actions in Hungary, Italy, Poland and Slovenia.

The post-doc fellow will be expected to be responsible for the day by day management of the project for the University of Trento and to undertake a series of activities including: literature review; designing interview protocols and surveys; collaborating with project partners (Amnesty International Italy, Poland, Hungary and Slovenia, and FBK- https://www.fbk.eu/en/ ); collecting and analyzing quantitative data; validating intervention strategies - elaborated within the project - to contrast gender-based harassment and violence with the use of technology; writing periodic reports on the development of the project; collaborating in the writing of scientific articles.
