The Institute of Experimental Psychology, Center of Social and Psychological Sciences, Slovak Academy of Sciences, in Bratislava, announces a call for a postdoctoral research position in psychology, starting in September 2026.

Employment contract: 12 months (full-time, with possible extension up to a permanent position)

Whom are we looking for?

Applicants should have a PhD degree in Psychology or a related field. Further requirements include excellent oral and written English skills, solid methodological and statistical knowledge, a dedication to scientific research, and a good publication record in these fields over the last three years.
Preference will be given to scholars who conduct research that would support one of our existing areas of focus:
- knowledge in the field of conspiratorial beliefs, trust, cohesion, intergroup relations and conflicts, polarization, political psychology, radicalisation;
- experience with experimental research focused on intergroup relations and/or reducing conspiratorial beliefs;
- experience with longitudinal analysis (RI-CLPM);
- logistical support of research;
- experience with designing interventions.

It conducts in-depth studies to understand and address these issues, providing valuable insights and practical solutions to societal challenges.

The position is research-oriented with no teaching requirements. Although the current position is for one year, there is a possibility of switching to a permanent position in the future.

Salary

Gross salary from €1300 to €1600 per month (depending on experience) + reward bonus (depending on achievement). Non-monetary benefits include a psychologically safe and supportive work environment and 45 days of paid vacation.
