Goethe University Frankfurt am Main (Department of Psychology and Sports Science - Social Psychology Division) invites applications for the position of a

Post-Doctoral Researcher (m/f/d)/
Scientific Coordinator (m/f/d)
(E 13 TV-G-U)

for an initial period of four years (with the possibility of extension, subject to further funding). The position starts on 01.10.2026. The salary grade is based on the job characteristics of the collective agreement applicable to Goethe University (TV-G-U). The position is part of the newly established, DFG-funded Goethe Leadership Centre – Centre of Advanced Studies (GLC) under the direction of Prof. Rolf van Dick and Prof. Michael Kosfeld.

The applicant is expected to carry out academic activities in research and teaching as well as administrative tasks in the coordination of the GLC.

Research duties include collaborating on projects in the fields of (applied) social psychology. An interest in research on group processes (particularly the Social Identity Approach) and leadership processes is required. Teaching duties include delivering courses offered by the Department of Social Psychology for Bachelor's and Master's degree programs, amounting to 2 credit hours per week (LVS). Furthermore, the successful applicant is expected to contribute to the supervision of theses (Bachelor's/Master's). The position offers the opportunity for habilitation.

The area of responsibility in administration comprises the following central areas of responsibility: Central coordination of the GLC, including the invitation and support of fellows, the planning and organization of workshops and events, participation in financial management, preparing reports for the DFG, and coordinating public relations work.

Applicants are expected to have outstanding research skills. In addition, the following are required for employment:
• A completed academic university degree in Psychology (Bachelor and Master), preferably with a focus on Social Psychology or Work and Organizational Psychology
• A completed doctorate in Psychology
• Very good written and spoken English skills
• Very good statistical skills
• A high degree of initiative and a conscientious approach to work
• Structured working methods combined with a strong ability to work in a team
• Enjoyment of and experience in organizing events
