Professor of Leadership and/or Strategic Management

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated individual as Professor/Associate Professor who is able to contribute to research leadership and innovative teaching, consulting, income generation and international collaborations in the areas of Leadership and/or Strategic Management in a school with a young and vibrant research community and innovative teaching programmes built up over the past few years.

We offer:

  • The opportunity to contribute to the school research outputs and agenda at senior level (for example as Research Group lead, REF submission lead, Mentor of early career researchers, by strategically developing new research collaborations, and identifying new fields of research development for grants, publications and impact). This could also include bringing an existing research group or research lab to the school.
  • The opportunity to contribute to and develop consulting, contract research and training offers based on their research and to contribute to strategically important programme leadership (for example as MBA director)

We expect:

  • A strong track record of past research that contributes to our REF submission for 2021, evidenced in strong peer reviewed journal articles since January 2014 and with strong potential for impact
  • A successful track record of research income (grants, contract research, research based consulting)
  • A strong track record of teaching in the relevant areas, with positive teaching evaluations and evidence of leading on teaching (e.g. course director, programme development and similar)
  • Experience in PhD supervision with completions and external examiner appointments
  • Strong communication skills, past leadership experience and the interest and motivation to take on school wide responsibilities, to mentor others and contribute to developing the school agenda
  • The ability and interest to work collaboratively in an international and diverse school and a fast paced work environment with a strong team orientation and an interdisciplinary focus
