As part of a European Research Council Consolidator grant (HONORLOGIC), we have a 1-year research fellow position opening at the School of Psychology at the University of Sussex. We seek outstanding motivated applicants with a strong interest in cultural psychology and strong advanced statistical skills (e.g., multilevel) to join an international team of researchers to work with existing datasets on social interactional processes in cultural context.
The successful candidate will work with the principal grant holder Professor Ayse K. Uskul and the HONORLOGIC team consisting of an international group of researchers, a research fellow, a PhD student, and a project officer (for more details on the project please visit https://honorlogic.org/about/). The main responsibilities will involve assisting with project outputs by analysing already collected data and writing up research for publication and disseminating the project’s findings using other channels (e.g., conference presentations at relevant conferences).
Key skills required are a) evidence of engagement in high-quality research activity, b) excellent presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, colleagues and external audiences, and c) ability to work individually on own initiative and without close supervision, and as part of a team.
In addition, successful candidates will have familiarity with research literatures on honour and/or cultural psychology and experience of conducting advanced statistical analyses (including multilevel modelling).
