We are writing with some updates on the virtual meeting series on the psychology of resistance in violent and repressive contexts.

After the successful conclusion of the first round of this meeting series, we will now continue with a broader network of international researchers and hopefully also activists. The seminar will start again in October and is intended to be a space to discuss, share work on, and build community around the psychology of resistance in repressive and violent contexts. We hope to create an interactive space, and focus on theoretical, methodological, ethical, and practical questions alike.

We are seeking to include scholars and works from different contexts, paradigms and backgrounds and would love to hear from you. If you are still interested in presenting in this series, please fill out this google form with just a few questions and a brief description of your proposed presentation (within 100 words preferably). We will get back to you within two weeks of our submission deadlines (see below) to let you know whether and when your presentation has been scheduled.

Some general organizational information: The meeting will take place on Zoom every other Tuesday or Wednesday (alternating), or Wednesday or Thursday depending on your time zone, starting October 3/4, 2023. There are several different formats for presentations you can choose from (e.g., talks, discussions, presenting work in progress, see this page) as well as three different time slots, to facilitate participation across the globe in different time zones.

When signing up, please keep in mind that we will review submissions three times over the course of the year, so be sure to submit before the deadline for your preferred presentation date:
