EASP – European Association of Social Psychology

“Advancing LGBTQIA+ Research Across the Globe” Preconference (EASP General Meeting 2026)

06.11.2025, by Media Account

Abstract submission deadline: November 30, 2025.

Submit your work to our “Advancing LGBTQIA+ Research Across the Globe” preconference at the upcoming EASP general meeting!

This is a collective pre-conference in response to the global backlash against the LGBTQIA+ community. Together, we aim to build bridges across continents, career stages, and professions to support the inclusion, well-being, and rights of LGBTQIA+ people. The preconference will also bridge science and practice. In addition to traditional presentations, the program will feature roundtables and structured discussions to foster dialogue between scholars, practitioners, and advocates.

Key themes include (but are not limited to): (1) variations in attitudes, laws, and inclusivity/exclusivity across regions; (2) differences in experiences and priorities among LGBTQIA+ subgroups; (3) cross-national resource sharing and knowledge exchange; and (4) promoting safety and well-being amid hostility through collaboration with practitioners, NGOs, and policymakers.

Share your latest research with a global audience and connect with scholars from all continents. We will be selecting presentations for blitz talks. Our goal is to increase the regional diversity of our speakers and encourage submissions that focus on different subgroups and intersectionality. We also welcome a variety of methods and approaches.
