EASP – European Association of Social Psychology

Call for Applications – EASP Travel Grants for the 2026 General Meeting in Strasbourg

20.11.2025, by Media Account

Deadline: 31 January, 2026

The European Association of Social Psychology (EASP) is pleased to announce the opening of applications for a limited number of Travel Grants to support attendance at the 2026 General Meeting (GM) in Strasbourg.

EASP is deeply committed to fostering an inclusive and accessible scientific community. We are aware that the increasing cost of living, substantial rises in travel and accommodation expenses, unequal access to research funding across countries, and situations of economic or political instability can make participation in our events particularly difficult for some members.

These travel grants are therefore specifically intended to support members who are facing financial hardship and who would otherwise be unable to attend our most important community gathering.

Our goal is to maximise the possibility of participation from across our diverse membership and ensure that the GM continues to be a vibrant, representative, and welcoming space for all.

Eligibility

Applications are open to:
• Post graduate members
• Full members

Priority will be given to applicants who:
• Work or study in countries with limited access to research funding
• Are affected by economic or political crises

Award Amount

500 euros

Application Requirements

Applicants will be asked to submit:
1. A current CV
2. A brief statement (max. 300 words) describing:
o Your current financial circumstances and why the grant is essential for your participation
o How attending the GM will support your professional development and engagement with the EASP community

Application Process

Applications should be submitted by email to both claudia.manzi@unicatt.it; office@easp.eu. Deadline for application is 31 January 2026.

All applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application as soon as possible, so they have sufficient time to plan their travel arrangements.

Proof of registration for the GM will be required.
