Towards Gender Harmony

It has been 30 years since a large cross-cultural study on masculinity and femininity was completed (Williams & Best, 1990).

Our project aims to collect data in at least 40 countries to examine prescriptive and proscriptive gender stereotypes and possible barriers towards gender equality. We are looking for collaborators in various countries to collect student data (at least 100 men and 100 women) by October 30th 2019. The participants should be students from an undergraduate/bachelor (or similar) psychology (or any other) course. Collaborators who collect data in their respective countries will be granted co-authorship on two planned multi-country peer-reviewed publications.

This is the first study conducted within the project titled: Toward Gender Harmony –Understanding the Relationship between Masculinity Threat and Gender Equality Across Cultures.
