Call for Data: Grandchildren–Grandparent Relationships and Ageism

10.07.2025, by Alessia Valmori

Published or unpublished data on the relationship between grandchildren and grandparents on ageism, by July 31st 2025.

We are currently conducting a scoping review to explore the impact of the relationship between grandchildren and grandparents on ageism. Our goal is to gather both published and unpublished data on this topic, without focusing on any specific aspect of the grandchild–grandparent relationship.

We welcome any relevant data, including published articles, preprints, theses, dissertations, or data from studies that are nearly published. If you have conducted research in this area, we would greatly appreciate it if you could share the zero-order correlation coefficient(s) between grandchild–grandparent relationship variables and ageism, along with the sample size and demographic information such as sample type (e.g., students, community sample). Additionally, please provide details about the measures used (instruments, scales, etc.) and your preferred citation format.

If you have data that may be relevant, please send it to alessia.valmori1@unicatt.it by July 31st. We also kindly ask you to share this call with colleagues or networks who might have data meeting our inclusion criteria.

Should you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to contact us at the email address above.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
