Dear colleagues,

We are happy to announce the preconference on “The Role of Emotions in Societal Problems”, which will take place on the 30th of June in Kraków prior to the EASP General Meeting.

The main goal of the preconference is to provide a possibility for emotion scholars to discuss and exchange research and ideas on the question how human emotions impact societal challenges. The preconference will focus on the impact of emotions in important societal questions revolving around environmental behavior, intergroup or interethnic relations, economic or political outcomes, or health-related challenges.

The preconference includes six invited talks by experts in the field focusing on an array of different topics related to societal challenges and a number of flash talks.

If you would like to present your work in a flash talk at the preconference, we encourage you to submit an abstract by the 28th of February via our website: https://sites.google.com/view/emotions-society/submission
