Call for unpublished data

To better understand the relation between subtle and blatant forms of dehumanisation
Dear members of the EASP,
We are currently re-analysing published and seeking for unpublished data in which both blatant and subtle forms of dehumanisation were measured. We would like to show that subtle and blatant measures of dehumanisation might not always be correlated, but they will when the expression of harsher forms of dehumanization are justified. Such justifications can come from different conditions like perceived outgroup threat, outgroup homogeneity, categorisation of the outgroup as a low-low outgroup, or inter-individual differences like SDO or RWA, ... and many more.
Therefore, to be eligible we are searching for unpublished datasets in which both subtle and blatant dehumanisation measures were obtained from the same sample of people together with a potential justifying factor that is either manipulated or measured. Eligible datasets can either be sent directly to us by email (jeroen.vaes@unitn.it; noemi.orabona@unitn.it) or the authors can contact us and we can provide instructions (R script or similar) to run the necessary analyses and share the obtained results with us.
Thank you for your attention,
Jeroen Vaes and Noemi Orabona, University of Trento, Italy
