June 30th-July 4th, 2020 in Krakow, Poland; Organisers: Marcin Bukowski, Katarzyna Jaśko, Ewa Szumowska and Piotr Dragon
The next General Meeting of the EASP (2020) will take place in Krakow, the historic capital of Poland. It has one of the best-preserved medieval city centres in Europe. It is also the location of the oldest Polish university (Jagiellonian University, founded in 1364). It is a truly magical city, situated in the south-east, between the Jura uplands and the Tatra mountains, on the banks of the river Vistula. With dozens of churches, monasteries and abbeys, covering almost every architectural period, the city's old town is also a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The city’s cultural heritage is mirrored in its intellectual achievements, e.g., Jagiellonian University and several other higher-education institutions. The student population numbers over 100,000, which fires a lively nightlife scene that burns brightly in atmospheric cellar bars, away from tourists above. All in all, Krakow has a unique and unforgettable ambience, created by the many pubs, cafes, restaurants, music festivals and friendly hosts, which live within and next door to history.
