Our social lives are increasingly unfolding in the digital world, as evidenced by the British Online Safety Act (2023). However, the digital world requires new research approaches and analytical methods that extend beyond traditional social psychological training.

The main aims of our meeting are to:
1. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the barriers and opportunities for gender equality in the digital era.
2. Exchange knowledge on the best research methods for investigating gender equality in the digital world.
3. Stimulate interdisciplinary collaborations (e.g., with experts in communication, information technology, and policymaking).

We invite gender equality projects that leverage or have an interest in leveraging digital technology (e.g., machine learning or BIG data) or explore the digital space (e.g., content analyses, field experiments on social media, lab experiments simulating the digital world) within one of three key themes: digital media, the workplace, and cross-cultural trends.

PhD students are especially encouraged to apply.

The conference is generously sponsored by the European Association of Social Psychology (EASP) and Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge. Discounted fees will be available as follows (rates in EU subject to exchange rates on the day of registration):

o €0 - Ukrainian nationals & EASP postgraduate members
o €60/£50 - online live streaming attendees (no presenting option)
o €120/£100 - non-members from 10 poorest European countries and
o €126/£105 - non-member postgraduate students
o €240/£200 - EASP full members and
o €360/£300 for non-member participants

Attendees should be prepared to pay between c. €84.00/£70 and c. €147.00/£125 for accommodation and allow c. €29.70/£25 per person per day for dinner (excluding alcoholic drinks): Current British government guidance for subsistence is £10 for breakfast, £10 for lunch and £25 for dinner. Refreshments and pasties will be provided during the conference (Days 1-3) alongside lunches (Days 2-3) thus offering delegates considerable subsistence. Social activities such as conference dinner in University Arms Hotel on the 4th Sept and punting on River Cam on 5th Sept will be opt-in at the time of registration and subject to numbers.
