EASP Preconference: Gender and Intersectionality in Social Psychological Research
14.12.2025, by Media Account
Call for Data Blitz Submission. Deadline: 12 January, 2026
We invite submissions for talks and data blitz presentations for the upcoming preconference “Gender and Intersectionality”, organized in collaboration with Dr. Mónika Kovács and Dr. Gabriella Kengyel at the European Association of Social Psychology general Meeting in Strasbourg.
We welcome researchers from around the world who study gender and intersectionality from diverse theoretical and methodological perspectives. The meeting is open to both EASP members and non-members with an interest in these topics, and we warmly encourage everyone engaged in related research to participate.
This preconference aims to provide a platform for research that explores how gender intersects with other axes of inequality — such as age, race, ethnicity, class, sexual orientation, and (dis)ability — to shape social experiences, opportunities, and outcomes. We particularly welcome contributions that integrate multiple levels of analysis, including experimental, survey, qualitative, and mixed-method approaches, and that offer novel theoretical or methodological insights into intersectional dynamics.
We invite submissions of empirical or theoretical work from junior and senior researchers alike for data blitz presentations (5–7 minutes, followed by 3 minutes of discussion). This meeting aims to foster stimulating exchanges, inspire new research ideas, and promote opportunities for future collaboration.
Session Themes
1. Data Blitz: Gender and Intersectionality
Short, high-impact presentations (7-10 minutes) focusing on recent or ongoing research addressing intersectional perspectives on gender, identity, and inequality.
2. Data Blitz: Age, Ableness, Class, and Gender
Short, high-impact presentations (7-10 minutes) examining how intersecting social positions shape lived experiences and institutional processes related to gender, aging, (dis)ability, and social class.
Submission Guidelines
• Abstract length: The abstract should include a title (with a maximum of 150 characters, including spaces), information about the research question, underlying theory, methods, results, discussion (max. 250 words)
• Format: empirical, theoretical, or methodological contributions welcome
Deadline: January 12, 2026, midnight (CET).

We especially encourage submissions from early-career researchers and members of underrepresented groups. The preconference provides an inclusive and collaborative space for scholars to exchange ideas, discuss methodological challenges, and foster interdisciplinary partnerships.
We look forward to your contributions and to engaging discussions on the complex and interconnected nature of inequality.
