Collective action research has been growing, so we thought it would be great to have a network to bring collective action researchers all together and showcase our work in the field. Therefore, Maja Kutlaca (Durham University), Özden Melis Uluğ (University of Sussex) and Helena Radke (University of Edinburgh) are launching the Collective Action Network (CAN). We hope to have regular online webinars, networking events, and workshops with all members of our community, especially early career researchers and researchers from beyond the Global North.

We’d like to kick off with a launch event to introduce the network and facilitate a discussion about the future of collective action. To start with, we will have a few words of inspiration from Professor Martijn Van Zomeren from the University of Groningen.

This launch event will be held online via Zoom on the 2nd of June, 2023. The session will be at the following time: 9 a.m.-Boston; 2 p.m.-London; 3 p.m.-Berlin; 4 p.m.-Istanbul; 6.30 p.m.-New Delhi; 8 p.m.-Jakarta; 9 p.m.-Manila; 11 p.m.-Canberra.
