Call for unpublished studies/data
Dear colleagues,
We are conducting a meta-analysis on the Secondary Transfer Effect (STE) of intergroup contact, namely whether contact with a primary outgroup leads to improved attitudes toward secondary outgroups that were not directly involved in the contact.
We are seeking unpublished or file-drawer studies, manuscripts under review or in press, dissertations, conference papers, or any other relevant work that may not be captured through database searches. We are interested in studies that assess intergroup contact (direct, indirect, extended, imagined, intervention-based, or naturalistic) and include outcomes toward at least one secondary outgroup.
Eligible designs may include correlational, longitudinal, experimental, and intervention studies. We welcome either raw data (from which we will compute the relevant effect sizes) or summary statistics (e.g., correlations, means and standard deviations, t/F values, regression coefficients, or any information that allows us to compute an effect size). Any raw data shared with us will remain confidential. Please note that the effect sizes included in the meta-analysis will be made publicly available as part of the meta-analytic dataset on OSF.
Our pre-registered protocol is publicly available on OSF: https://osf.io/kbwse/overview?view_only=30837b5dace94724abff714ad644c0dc
If you have any relevant studies or data and are willing to share them, we would greatly appreciate receiving them by April 3, 2026. Please send materials to: uribertocchi@tauex.tau.ac.il
We aim to make this synthesis as comprehensive as possible, and any additional data would be highly valuable. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
Kind regards,
