Open Call for the Head of the Scientific Committee and Members of the Scientific Programme Committee for the General Meeting of the European Association of Social Psychology

We are pleased to announce an open call for applications for the position of Head of the Scientific Committee for the upcoming General Meeting of the European Association of Social Psychology (EASP), which will be held in Strasbourg in 2026. We also welcome applications for members of the Scientific Programme Committee who will act as (co-)chairs for different thematic sections within the programme.

Head of the Scientific Committee (usually a senior scholar)

Key Responsibilities:
• Organise the thematic structure and sections around which the conference will revolve.
• Select, in collaboration with the EASP Executive Committee, the members of the Scientific Programme Committee.
• Coordinate and oversee the work of the Scientific Programme Committee.
• Collaborate closely with the local organising committee to ensure smooth development of the scientific programme.

Benefits:
• All expenses paid for one meeting with the Scientific Programme Committee and the local organising committee in Strasbourg.
• Free registration along with travel and accommodation for the General Meeting.

Members of the Scientific Programme Committee (senior/mid-career scholars)

Key Responsibilities:
• Each member will be responsible for a specific thematic area/section.
• Select the reviewers for their thematic area and coordinate the review process for submitted contributions.
• Work together to draft the scientific programme in close collaboration with the local organising committee.

Benefits:
• All expenses paid for one meeting with the Scientific Programme Committee and the local organising committee in Strasbourg.
• Free registration for the General Meeting.

These roles offer a unique opportunity to shape the scientific content of one of the most important events in our field and to collaborate with colleagues from across Europe.

Please submit a brief statement of interest, including your research areas of expertise and relevant experience (max 500 words), to the Meeting Officer (claudia.manzi@unicatt.it) and Diversity Officer (g.baysu@qub.ac.uk) by 20th November. We encourage applications from underrepresented regions of Europe. Feedback will be given by early January.
