Systematic Review on Radicalization and Violent Extremism

21.04.2026, by Media Account

Call for published or in-press empirical studies in peer-reviewed journals

Dear Colleagues,

As part of a systematic review in social psychology focusing on the psychosocial processes of radicalization and violent extremism, we are currently seeking scientific articles published on this topic.

We are particularly interested in empirical studies published or in press in peer-
reviewed journals, specifically those focusing on the psychosocial and sociocognitive mechanisms involved in radicalization trajectories (e.g., social influence, social identity, identity fusion, need for closure, etc.).

For this project, we are not considering gray literature (reports, unpublished theses, working papers, etc.), but only peer-reviewed scientific publications.

If you are aware of any relevant articles (your own or those of other colleagues), we would be very grateful if you could bring them to our attention or provide us with the corresponding references.

We thank you in advance for your valuable assistance.
