University of Osnabrück, Germany; Attendance at SPSP Annual Convention, San Antonio, Texas, US

I am very grateful to EASP for the opportunity to attend the Society for Personality and Social Psychology’s Annual Convention in San Antonio 2017. My colleague from New York University, Ruthie Pliskin and I organized a symposium entitled ‘ Understanding Enduring Conflict: The Central Role of Values and Emotions’ together with two distinguished scholars Prof. Dr. Linda Skitka and Dr. Michal Reifen Tagar. We were honored that our symposium was selected for the main program, since it is a highly competitive selection procedure. I had a chance to present and receive valuable feedback on my project on the relations between activists and non-activists.

Moreover, I was able to meet with prof. Linda Skitka and talk about a possible collaboration on several different projects. During the conference I also met with Dr. Paul Conway who is a leading young scholar in the field of morality. Attending SPSP was a very inspiring event and I highly recommend it to all and especially to young European scholars.

Again, I am very thankful to EASP and to Sibylle Classen for giving me this opportunity.
