In April 2022, I visited Fuad Hatibovic at the University of Valparaiso in Chile. Fuad Hatibovic is currently working on collective memory, group emotions, territorial conflicts, and collective actions.

Thanks to the support of the European Association of Social Psychology travel grant, I spent six weeks in Valparaiso. My presence at the University of Valparaiso was the planned scientific collaboration with Fuad Hatibovic. The stay resulted in the design of studies related to identity, populism, and political engagement, as well as a discussion of potential collaboration in future projects. I gave a seminar on "The role of mass media in the process of reconciliation" to a multidisciplinary audience. I also took part in the classes with students interested in a potential research career, where I shared my doctoral and postdoctoral research experience. I also had an opportunity to talk to the university press about my stay and the research we were planning. Finally, I also met with researchers at the Centre for Interdisciplinary studies about Political Culture, Memory, and Human Rights at the University of Valparaiso and took part in their meetings.

Overall, it was a very productive stay! Importantly, being in Chile helped me learn about this country's past and the important political changes this country is going through. It was highly inspiring and educational.
I am grateful to Fuad Hatibovic for organizing this visit, hosting me, and EASP funding my travel.
