We are looking for an inspiring new faculty member to expand our academic staff in the ‘Migration, Cultural Diversity, and Ethnic Relations’ programme (ERCOMER, http://www.ercomer.eu/) of the Department of Interdisciplinary Social Science (ISS) of the faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences at Utrecht University.

The programme Migration, Cultural Diversity, and Ethnic Relations is concerned with research on inclusion and exclusion of immigrants, both from the immigrant perspective as well as from origin and destination country perspectives. This includes a wide range of topics, such as group identities, intergroup attitudes, nationalism and right-wing radicalism, discrimination, immigrants’ structural, social and political inclusion, dynamics in the first years after migration, religiosity and transnationalism. We examine these questions in the general population but also in specific settings, such as in schools, neighbourhoods and organisations, drawing mostly on quantitative methods.
