Ready to expand your qualitative skills?

Due to the resounding success of our previous workshop and the increased interest in Qualitative and Indigenous Psychology, we’re excited to announce that Miguel Silan is rehosting the workshop on January 15, 16, and 17, 2024!

A common sentiment usually heard from people who want to get into quali or mixed-methods is hesitation due to lack of training or the uncertainty of whether “they’re doing it right”. The workshop is a chance to get into the state-of-the-art qualitative methods, which combine fundamental, advanced, and applied topics to help one launch their next qualitative project.

The workshop will focus on interviews and open-ended questions. Not only how to craft, implement, and analyze them, but also how to theorize qualitative and how ethical open qualitative research can be done. Importantly, the workshop will go beyond analyzing “themes” and into more fruitful analyses (e.g., bayesian qualitative thinking; negative case analyses).

The workshop will also serve as an introduction to indigenous psychology and cross-indigenous psychology and how it can serve to re-think multi-site/cross-cultural studies.

Details of the workshop are attached!
