Post-doc Position in Social/Political Psychology

The School of Psychology, University of Kent, is seeking to hire a Post-Doctoral Research Associate with expertise in computational methods for a project focusing on identity language. The post is funded by a Leverhulme Trust Research Project Grant “Does identity rhetoric boost online political messages?”. This is a 9-month post, with the expected start in January 2024.

As a Post-Doctoral Research Associate you will work with Professor Cichocka and will be responsible for data collection, analysis, dissemination of findings in the form of conference presentations and publications in academic journals, as well as assisting with data management, and the organisational aspects of the project (e.g., coordinating the work of research assistants). It is expected that the successful applicant will be highly familiar with major theories and research in social and political psychology, and will have experience with computational research methods (in particular, natural language processing).
