UCL is seeking a Lecturer in Social Psychology to join a vibrant and collegial research environment who will be expected to contribute to the Thomas Coram Research Unit’s (TCRU) research streams. The postholder will also be expected to contribute to the portfolio of teaching in Social Psychology across the undergraduate provision in the Social Research Institute (SRI) (i.e., BSc Social Sciences, BSc Social Sciences with Data Science, and BSc Sociology).

The new post holder’s areas of teaching and research will ideally bridge Psychological and Sociological Social Psychology, thus providing links between Psychology and Sociology, which are core disciplines in the department and for TCRU research. The post holder will be expected to contribute to teaching on a variety of modules, depending on their expertise, which may include Foundations in Psychology (Year 1), Social Psychology (Year 2), and/or Social Justice and Social Psychology (Year 3), in addition to dissertation supervision, PhD supervision, and personal tutoring.

The appointee will contribute to the life and functioning of the TCRU, SRI, and UCL more broadly. We have a strong commitment to ‘Liberating the Curriculum’ and seek candidates who think critically about disciplinary history and positioning.
