Both postdoc positions will be based within the Department of Psychology at the University of Bath, under the leadership of Professor Laura Smith.

The first role will be working on the human-centered design theme of the EPSRC AI for Collective Intelligence (AI4CI) Hub: www.ai4ci.ac.uk. The human-centered design theme has two purposes: first, to integrate an understanding of how humans interact and behave in sociotechnical systems into the design of smart agents, and second, to address research questions of when, how, and why smart agents and collective intelligence can create tipping points for collective behaviour change.

In this role, you will support academics from multiple disciplines to design and conduct research studies that contribute towards our understanding of how people behave and interact with smart agents within socio-technical systems. Please see here for further information, including how to apply (deadline 2nd June 2024): https://www.bath.ac.uk/jobs/Vacancy.aspx?id=25384&forced=2

The second role involves working at the Institute for Digital Security and Behaviour (IDSB) at the University of Bath. The IDSB is due to launch in September 2024, with the aim of solving global security challenges through world-leading, interdisciplinary, socio-technical research. In this specific role, you will support academics from multiple disciplines at the University in designing and conducting research studies that contribute towards our understanding of digital security and behaviour. You will also be involved with synthesising and disseminating outputs from relevant work as part of a wider programme of research of the Institute for use by policymakers and regulators. For more information and how to apply, see: https://www.bath.ac.uk/jobs/Vacancy.aspx?id=25365&forced=2 (deadline 10th June 2024).
