We invite labs to participate in the Construal Level International Multilab Replication (CLIMR) project. CLIMR is funded by the Swedish Research Council and will be the largest ever collaborative effort to evaluate Construal Level Theory (CLT).

The aim is to replicate key experimental findings underpinning CLT. While the theory is highly influential in social psychology and related disciplines, there are signs of potential publication bias in the literature and most previous studies have used small samples (median N = 48). These issues warrant a health check of the theory. High-powered replications with samples from several labs can help us evaluate the robustness of the theory and give us trustworthy estimates of the effects.

You can read more about the project at www.climr.org. There you can also register your interest in participating as a contributing lab, and we will make sure to send you updates on the project.

Feel free to forward this invitation to anyone who might be interested.

We hope you are willing and able to join us!
