The Executive Committee calls for offers to organise and host the next General Meeting in three years time (2026). We are particularly interested in offers form countries (and parts of Europe more generally) that have not (recently) staged our most important meeting. However the most important concern is to host a successful meeting so offers from members of the Association form all parts of Europe are very welcome.

We expect at least 1200 delegates and will therefore need the necessary and affordable hotel capacity, a university hall/conference centre with one big room (about 800 seats), and at 10-12 smaller rooms with a capacity between 40 and 200. Access to buildings for people with disabilities is necessary. The conference is typically held sometime between late June and mid August but flexibility is also possible (e.g., the meeting was once held in April).

These are the basic requirements but it is also important not to underestimate the work involved in planning and hosting an event of this magnitude. Although some of the more mundane tasks (e.g., hotel reservations and registration) can be devolved to a professional conference organising company, the Executive Committee considers it essential for the host organisers to take the initiative in organising other aspects of the conference. Experience has shown that this is important not only to keep costs down but also to stamp the identity of the organising team on the conference. Although the task can seem challenging, the Executive Committee is of course willing to help in any way it can, particularly in terms of advice and experience derived from previous organisers. A program committee will be responsible for the scientific program but this will also include representation of the local organisers. Despite the work involved, the benefits can also be enormous, not only in terms of gratitude from the EASP community, but more importantly in terms of raising the profile of social psychology in the university, region and country of the host organisers, and stimulating social psychology in this area.

Please feel free to reach out to Claudia Manzi ( if you are interested.

Deadline: Please send your application detailing the administrative, technical, and financial feasibility of your offer in line with the requirements outlined above, including information about the facilities, to our Executive Officer Wendy Rulkens ( as soon as possible but in any case by January 15, 2024.
