Call for studies for a meta-analysis on moral balancing
29.03.2024, by Johannes Ullrich
Deadline: April 30, 2024
We seek studies (published or unpublished) investigating the effect of an experimentally induced actual, remembered, or imagined (im-)moral behavior on subsequent (im-)moral behavior.
Dear colleagues,
At the University of Zurich, Dept. of Psychology, Life-Management lab, we are conducting a meta-analysis on moral balancing. For this, we seek studies investigating the effect of an experimentally induced actual, remembered, or imagined (im-)moral behavior on subsequent (im-)moral behavior. The preregistration for this meta-analysis is available on OSF: doi.org/10.17605/OSF.IO/YR42W.
If you have a study (published or unpublished) that fulfills the criteria below, we would appreciate if you were willing to share it with us for inclusion in the meta-analysis. We are interested in any relevant dataset, so feel free to send papers, theses, or drafts.
Inclusion criteria are:
– Experimental manipulation of actual, remembered, or imagined (im-)moral behavior
– Subsequent assessment of (im-)moral behavior or behavioral intention
– Inclusion of a control group (depending on the experimental design, this could be a neutral, moral, and/or immoral condition) with random assignment
– Adult sample (≥18 years)
Please send the manuscript or draft by email to Jasmin Weber (weber@psychologie.uzh.ch). The latest date for including a study in the meta-analysis is April 30, 2024.
Again: We are hoping to include as many relevant studies as possible, so any additional data is greatly appreciated, regardless of the publication status. In case of doubt, please email us to see if your study fits.
Best wishes and thank you very much,
Alexandra M. Freund (freund@psychologie.uzh.ch)
