Call to Participate in Psychological Science Accelerator Synergy Grant

13.03.2019, by Tina Keil in announcement

Dear Colleagues,

We would like to recruit colleagues to participate in a grant we are planning to write with the Psychological Science Accelerator (PSA). If you are unfamiliar with the Psychological Science Accelerator, you can read more about the network in an article in AMPPS, in a popular write-up on Science Trends, you can go to the PSA website, or you follow the PSA on Twitter.

The grant concerns an ERC Synergy Grant, for which a total of 10 million Euros can be requested (an additional 4 million can be requested for start-up costs (in case a PI moves) or for the purchase of major equipment). In short, the Synergy grant is for any field of research, should consist of a group of 2 to 4 PIs. PIs must present an early achievement record or a ten-year track record (whichever is more appropriate). At least three centers must be in the EU or associated countries. For this year, one center can be outside the EU and associated member countries. The PIs can also be outside of the EU and have the intention to move to the EU.

The deadline for the grant will be in September. At this moment, we are recruiting two additional PIs to participate in the grant. The already identified centers are the University of Amsterdam (led by Eric-Jan Wagenmakers and Denny Borsboom) and Université Grenoble Alpes (led by myself). In line with the PSA's mission, we want to open the application up to those in- and outside the PSA. If you are interested in being part of the grant proposal, please apply via our application form. The application form also includes more information what kind of researchers we will be looking for. In case you have any questions regarding the process, do not hesitate to reach out to me, to the PSA's director (Chris Chartier), and/or to the PSA's assistant directors for funding (Thuy-Vy Nguyen and Neil Lewis Jr.).

We will keep all inquiries confidential.

All the best,
Hans IJzerman
